Christmas is approaching and what better dessert, if not cookies, to immerse yourself in the Christmas atmosphere?
When Grandma baked a baking sheet of freshly baked cookies, the house suddenly filled with an irresistible scent. A sweet aroma that enveloped the rooms in an embrace of spicy fragrance. The smell of hot shortcrust pastry immediately made everyone run around the pan, ready to stretch their hands towards one of those precious golden sweets.
Shortcrust pastry cookies are an easy, quick and tasty recipe to prepare especially with children. Moreover, with cookies we can give free rein to our imagination.
So, for half a kilo of cookies you will need (ingredients):
500g of flour
200g of sugar
250g of butter
2 eggs
Procedure
In a large bowl add the flour and sugar. Start stirring the powders slowly. Next, add the diced butter at room temperature and the two eggs. Then, get ready to get your hands dirty! With your hands mix the mixture until it becomes a compact shortcrust pastry ball. Before spreading the shortcrust pastry to prepare the biscuits, put the shortcrust pastry in the fridge for about 30 minutes. In this way, the shortcrust pastry will be easier to spread! At this point, cover the table with flour and roll out the shortcrust pastry. Use your creativity and use all the shapes you like to create cookies. Finally, place in a static oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
Enjoy your holiday treat!
