Part One – Love Poem

This poem is for you, 

because I haven’t seen you all day 

and there isn’t much to do. 

Only you can take the pain away. 

I haven’t seen you all day, 

stop hiding behind a lie.

but you don’t care, and that’s fine. 

Stop hiding behind a lie. 

You and I know it better than her, 

but you don’t care and that’s fine. 

Just don’t tell me this is over.

and there isn’t much to do.

because this poem is for you.

Part Two – Together

I wished we were together, 

and you first agreed, but then 

you said it wouldn’t be forever 

and now I’m sinking in the sand.

I couldn’t believe this was real. 

You reconsidered and disappeared, 

you didn’t even think twice.

but finally, I realized.

but, although I finally realized, 

I still wish we were together.
